The vertical bar screen AQUAMEO DVC is fully automatic and equipped with one screw compactor or waste screenings discharge is mainly used to remove suspended solids from waste water in municipal treatment plants or in pumping and filtering stations.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
In the home position, the rake is located at the top position of the screen and the screw compactor is stopped.
The operators have 3 possibilities to launch a start-up cycle: an external run command, a level switch or a timer (with a predefined rate and duration).
When a cycle starts, the opened rake starts to move downwards; the rake closes when it reaches the bottom position to catch waste trapped against the bars.
The rake, loaded with waste trapped against the screen, will then begin moving upwards. The screw compactor will start running simultaneously
The waste is ejected when the rake reaches the top position to be discharged into the screw compactor.
The screen then stops.The screw compactor will still be in operation till waste compacting is completed.
