OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The AQUARAKE DIXS/DIM is an inclined continuous bar screen with fixed bar rack and multiple rakes driven by chains. The AQUARAKE bar screen is an automatic continuous type bar screen where an assembly of rakes are driven by a double stainless steel chain system (one on each side of the bar screen).
The automatic screen starts and stops according to upstream effluent level (level sensor) or by clock timer.
The waste trapped against the bars is caught by the multiple rake’s teeth and lifted up to the discharge point. A back plate prevents the debris of falling back into the wastewater down the grid.
The rakes move upwards and pass the waste ejector. The ejector pushes the screenings from the rake and deposit out away from the screen frame into a conveyor, compactor or washing compactor.
Finally, the cleaned scrapers return to the bottom to begin a new cycle.
