Screw compactors manufactured by EMO are designed for the transport and compacting of waste from screenings.
They can be easily adapted to your existing constraints and are available in an infinite number of versions: horizontal, inclined or rotating screw.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The screw conveyor consists in a shaftless and endless screw rotating in a «U» shape trough, lined with a durable material. The screw is driven by a single speed gearmotor.
The products to be transported (screenings) fall into a feed hopper, fixed to the upper part of the conveyor. They are then pushed from one point to another by the force exerted by a shaftless screw, itself driven by a gearmotor.
The endless and shaftless screw leads waste to the compacting cell: as they accumulate and clog the cell, the waste is blocked and compacted.
A cyclical wash makes it possible to clean the outside of the cell which becomes clogged more or less quickly, depending on the type of waste. The screw is fitted with a counter weight system at the outlet to compact a little bit more waste.
The compacting cell can be thermally insulated. In this case, the cell is equipped with a heating plate located on the compacting sheet.
